SCHOOL PARTNERSHIP AGREEMENT

Context

The agreement forms part of the cultural international project “Religion, Culture en Tradition: Living Religious Tradition in a Secularized World”

Objectives

1.Professional development ( learning from each other and enhancing teaching  practice)
2. International perspectives (increasing awareness of religious en non religious holidays, enhancing pupils skills for life)
3. To do a project on a cultural topic
To share cultures ( music, clothing and religion en traditions, attitudes, behaviours)
4. To increase engagement or achievement in the classroom
Dissemination -  eg how to share learning and understanding more widely
5. To teach or learn and to promote a  foreign language (English)
eLearning and ICT  by using a collaboration space for our partnership
6. To develop the Curriculum (  to make holidays more interesting,  relevant, or easier to understand)
7. To raise the profile of the school (with parents and in the community)
 Core Principles

All activities will be conducted within the framework of a recognised child protection policy.

All activities will operate in accordance with a code of conduct appropriate toLiceul cu Program Sportiv Alba Iulia, to be agreed between the schools.

In the interests of equity, all activities will be accessible to all young people in the partnership and appropriate to their abilities. Particular attention should be made to the promotion and charging policies, which should attract, encourage and accommodate young people:

• With physical, intellectual and sensory impairments and with multiple and profound impairments;
• From both genders;
• From ethnic minorities; and
• From disadvantaged communities.

The schools commitment

Ensure that an Internet connection is offered to all students as part of the schools curriculum.

Designate( a) member(s) of the teaching staff as coordinating teacher(s) for all schools in the partnership agreement, with responsibility for:

• All relevant press releases to the schools’ publicity officer for information;
• Collaborate with the other teaching staff members in an attempt to promote cross-curricular activities;
• All cultural exchanges between schools;
• All the activities presented in the Programme;
• Advising the pupils of all relevant activities, particularly those aimed at Holidays and their semnification;
• Ensuring that all pupils/students reffered by the school are welcomed into the project, working under generic qualifications such as: child protection, equity, disability;
• Keeping the partner advised and informed about the pupils’ progress

Programme

Monthly activities related to Holidays. The project is to last a year, 2012-2013.

The following holidays will be covered: Romania’s national holiday, Christmas, Valentine’s day, Dragobetele, Easter, Children’s Day.

Resources

No finance is needed.

Review

The working of the agreement will be reviewed on an annual basis through an online meeting of the coordinating teachers ofthe school(s), normally in September of each year. The agreement will be renewable from the ¹⁵ th of  September each year.
